Founding pilot — participation terms

These terms apply to the November 2026 Solo + AI Berlin founding pilot. German law applies. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.

Last updated: 19 September 2026 · Version founding-pilot-2026-09-19-v1

1. Organiser and offer

The contracting operator is DataTalks.Club, Schonensche Straße 13, 10439 Berlin, Germany, represented by Alexey Grigorev. Contact: alexey@datatalks.club. Operator details are in the Impressum.

Solo + AI Berlin is an English-speaking in-person peer group for solopreneurs, indie hackers, and owners of intentionally small businesses who are actively applying AI to a concrete business project. It is not a training course, professional advisory service, or a promise of business results.

2. What the pilot includes

Two in-person sessions on Tuesday 10 November 2026 and Tuesday 24 November 2026, both 18:30–21:00 Berlin time (CET), plus access to a private group chat during the November pilot. Intended size is 10–12 participants plus the host. The exact private room in Mitte or Prenzlauer Berg, with access information, will be confirmed by 3 November 2026 at 18:00 CET.

The net one-time price is €59, plus German VAT at 19%. VAT is added at checkout. The amount charged is €70.21 (€59.00 net + €11.21 VAT). There is no subscription and no automatic renewal.

3. Application, payment, and when a contract is formed

Applications and payment close on 1 November 2026 at 23:59 CET. Submitting the form saves your answers and then sends you to Stripe to pay €59 plus VAT. An application is complete only after successful payment. Payment is an advance payment for participation, not a fee for reviewing an application, and does not by itself confer membership or a confirmed seat.

Alexey reviews complete applications for a concrete active business project, practical AI use or experimentation, ability to attend both sessions in English, and a willingness to contribute. Publicity, revenue, and an established profitable business are not required. A full group can also mean we cannot offer a place.

A binding participation contract is formed only when the organiser sends a confirmation email that a place is yours and that the pilot will run (venue and the minimum of 10 approved, paid participants confirmed). Until then, payment is held as an advance and is refundable under section 4.

4. Confirmation and organiser refunds

The organiser must confirm at least 10 approved, paid participants and a suitable venue by 3 November 2026 at 18:00 CET. If either condition is not met, the pilot is cancelled and everyone receives a full refund. Applicants who are declined or cannot be offered a place also receive a full refund.

If the organiser cancels the pilot, the payment is refunded in full. If a session date changes or the venue moves outside Mitte / Prenzlauer Berg, you may decline the change and receive a full refund. No application or payment-processing fees are deducted from these refunds. The organiser initiates them within five business days of the decision; banks can take additional time to show the money.

5. Participant cancellation, missed sessions, and statutory withdrawal

You can request a full refund until 3 November 2026 at 18:00 CET by emailing the organiser. After that, the two meetings form one pilot package: no additional voluntary refund is promised for a missed session unless the organiser fills the place with another suitable participant.

The sessions are leisure events on specific dates. For such services, German law may exclude the ordinary 14-day distance-selling withdrawal right (see § 312g Abs. 2 Nr. 9 BGB). These terms do not limit any statutory cancellation, withdrawal, defect, or refund right that nevertheless applies to you. If a statutory right applies, follow the instructions in the organiser’s confirmation email or write to the contact above.

6. Participation, confidentiality, and removal

Participants agree to contribute as well as learn, give thoughtful feedback, avoid unsolicited selling, and respect confidentiality. Do not record, transcribe using AI, publish another member’s story, or upload another member’s private material into AI tools without explicit permission. Share only material you have the right to share and anonymise client information.

The organiser may refuse or end participation if someone seriously disrupts the group, harasses others, or breaks the confidentiality rules. In that case, after confirmation, unused sessions are not refunded except where law requires it. Before confirmation, the organiser-refund rules in section 4 still apply.

7. After the pilot

Future meetings or membership, if any, will be a separate offer. The November payment does not authorise future charges.

8. Liability

The organiser is liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body, or health, and where the Product Liability Act applies. For ordinary negligence the organiser is liable only for breach of essential contractual duties, and then limited to the foreseeable damage typical for this kind of contract. Essential duties are those the contract must grant to achieve its purpose, including holding the two confirmed sessions if the pilot runs. This does not change the refund promises in sections 4 and 5.

9. Applicable law and disputes

German law applies. Mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence remain available if you are a consumer. The operator does not participate in consumer arbitration (see the Impressum).
